Set in New York, the rich and the popular have it all. Anna K. is the perfect girlfriend, student and sister. But when she meets Vronksy, her life is suddenly turned upside down. Although the book is called Anna K, the story actually revolves around many of the characters. It is written in third person and switches from one point of view to another. They each tell a different story in their own way. I liked the plot - it moved at a nice pace and had some cute scenes. Personally, I found that the writing style made it harder to connect to the characters as it seemed like I was observing from the outside. I would also like the story to be more about Anna as she is the main character. The love story itself however was not that strong for me. I felt like the instant connection with Anna and Vronksy seemed forced. I don't know why but I felt like they didn't have much chemistry between each other. Publisher: Zaffre Genre: Thriller/suspense Released on: 02/08/18 When I first recieved the book, I had high hopes for it as the blurb sounded very exciting. The story follows a T.V crew searching for a cavern to discover long lost mysteries and secrets only to find themselves lost within the caves with no way out. The first few chapters I couldn't put the book down! I wanted to find out more which only made the experience more intense. However, the book gradually got more repetitive and seemed to drag on a bit which made me loose interest with the storyline - a lot of time, I found that book had long winded descriptions of the cave interior. As I got to the last few chapters of the book, I was disappointed. Personally, I thought it was quite far-fetched and was unrealistic for my liking. How to Pack for the End of the World - Michelle Falkoff ★★★

The story follows Amina who starts a new school and joins a survival club called ' Eucalyptus ' where the club is dedicated to learning survival skills and playing games to compete in. The plot is mixed with a bit of high school drama too but my favourite part of the book was the survival games. They were quite interesting as they seem so complex and I also learnt a few things too. It's a unique storyline as I haven't read many books that focuses around environmental impact from a teenager point of view. There's also a little bit of romance in it too. However, I do have a critical point with the characters- I didn't find Amina's friends all that relatable and they all seemed kind of fixed into their personalities. The drama didn't really add much to the plot - I would've like the book to be focused more about the 'end of the world' aspect.
