The story follows Amina who starts a new school and joins a survival club called 'Eucalyptus' where the club is dedicated to learning survival skills and playing games to compete in.
The plot is mixed with a bit of high school drama too but my favourite part of the book was the survival games. They were quite interesting as they seem so complex and I also learnt a few things too. It's a unique storyline as I haven't read many books that focuses around environmental impact from a teenager point of view. There's also a little bit of romance in it too. However, I do have a critical point with the characters- I didn't find Amina's friends all that relatable and they all seemed kind of fixed into their personalities. The drama didn't really add much to the plot - I would've like the book to be focused more about the 'end of the world' aspect.
Despite this, the writing style flowed well with a nice pacing that made it easy to read. Overall, a fun and inspiring read about young activists.
