This book is a nice change from typical YA's. A heartwarming and uplifting book that is sure to make you hungry! The story follows Emoni, a seventeen year old girl facing pressures of being a teenage mum while following her dreams to become a chef.
The story was easy to follow with quick chapters to move it along at a nice pace. Emoni is a likeable character along with the others. The relationship between her grandmother, and daughter is shown very nicely. However, I would've liked more chapters written in-depth to find out more about her backstory.
As an added extra, I also like the different recipes included in the book! The book is split into different sections with a new recipe for each.
Overall, a good book suitable for the teenage age range.
