Stags 2: Dogs - M.A Bennett ★★★★

Cover Image for STAGS 2: DOGS
Having read the first book, STAGS, I knew I would enjoy this one. This books starts of straightaway where the last book left off, jumping straight into the action. As similar to the first book, it almost gives the plot away in the first few sentences to give the reader an idea of what is going to happen.

The plot unfolds at a nice pace, revealing more mysteries as it goes along, adding to the storyline. I like how the long lost play The Isle of The Dogs is incorporated into it to add a bit of interesting history and playwriting to it. There some thrilling scenes and what?! moments that kept me on the edge of my seat.

The characters are likeable and quite realistic. I like the divide between the Savages and Mediaevals, showing their different lifestyles to it. My favourite character was Cass who has shown her shy yet strong personality. I hope that there is a sequel becasue I would love to know more about Cass and life as a Mediaevals.

Overall, DOGS was a very enjoyable book. I would definitely recommend this book for all ages. I've given this book four stars because I found that there were some scenes that I struggled to read through. I'd like to add that the first book must be read first to understand what's going on. The first book is even better!
